“I give up! I am going to have a relationship with my TV. At least it’s a reliable date!” I hear comments like this all of the time because to many, the dating scene can be quite cumbersome and frustrating. Moreover, people are finding it harder and harder to meet others due to busy schedules, juggling roles and vast cities like LA. The problem is that when you have negative experiences and attitude about dating, it can create a dark aura around you and a hardened shell that prevents you from meeting others. It’s like a vicious cycle that can suck you in like quicksand and before you know it you’re marrying your TV! Don’t get pulled into the sand!
When clients come to me with these feelings of discontent, I help them develop a dating plan so that they get out of their rut, infuse more positive energy and create opportunities to meet both single friends and potential mates. In this video, I talk about diversifying your dating portfolio. Like in a financial portfolio, the more you diversify, you reduce your risk of losing it all and increase your chances for success. I actually sit down with my clients and develop a dating calendar filled with activities, tasks and homework so they are forced to get out there and expand their opportunities to meet people. By doing this it also lifts people’s spirits by being actively involved in something. And guess what? That positive attitude attracts the opposite sex!
